BACKGROUND
Many schools and universities are in search of a roofing system that is reliable, economical, easy to maintain and save energy. In addition, some districts have to deal with "low bid" problems with conventional roofing systems.
Schools also need a system which can be applied quickly while children are out of school. Some systems have significant odor problems which can interfere with school sessions.
Schools are also looking for lightweight systems that avoid tearoff problems and can be used on metal roofs as well as flat roofs.
SOLUTION
Colorado State University Housing has used fluid applied insulated roofing systems for several years to solve a variety of problems with their older roofing systems. The system has helped the university solve leak problems and save energy. Many other universities, including Texas A & M, have used the system successfully for many years.
Colorado school districts including Poudre R1, Lamar and Foutain have used the system for a variety of roofing problems including flat and metal roofs. Some of the largest school districts in the nation, including LA Unified and Dallas City Schools, use the system on a continuing basis.
TYPICAL INSTALLED COST $2.50 TO $5.00 /SQ FT
What our customers say...
"Many of the single ply, modified or tar and gravel systems we were using were leaking. We based our decision partly on the success of the system at Texas A & M University over the last 15 years. In addition, the system allowed us to build up slope in a dead flat roof, providing needed insulation and most importantly, stopped our leaks."
